The cell phone system of sending messages only works well in a strong signal area. Download the Manual off the Denver website as the supplied one is too small. Bit of a faff setting it up but not too complicated.
It is only waterproof/dust proof to IP54 which, when it is designed to be left outside seems somewhat short of a full IP67 rating. I sited mine where it wouldn’t get too wet not sure how it would stand up tied to a tree in the middle of a field!
It does seem to be solidly built. I have only had mine a short while so not yet worn it in. I guess it is built to the price. You would pay an awful lot more for the full Monty. Seems value for money.
