The August DA110CD is not just a portable DVD / TV but an entire portable entertainment
system from August and this version comes with an integrated rechargeable battery
so it can be used anywhere. With a whopping 11 inch, super crisp TFT LCD screen
the DA110CD can display your TV programmes, be it digital or analogue, your
DVD movies, photo's and more on its superb definition 11 inch screen. With a
huge range of formats supported the DA110CD can play back just about every disc
or file you are likely to want to play on it including DVD, CD-R(W), (S)VCD,
MPEG-1/2/4 video, DVCD, HDCD, JPEG and Kodak Picture-CDs.
The DA110CD also features an integrated memory card reader supporting SD, MMC
and MS memory cards so that you can take the memory card directly from your
digital camera and play your photos or home movies on the DA110CD screen. Sitting
along side the memory card reader is a USB port allowing you to plug in your
external hard drive or USB thumb drive in to the DA110CD for playback of your
music or movies.
Digital freeview and analogue tuners are of course built in to this entertainment
centre so you can pickup just about every channel using the included portable
aerials (dependent as always on quality and strength of TV signal in your area).
If available the DA110CD can also accept a booster or house aerial directly
in to the standard aerial socket on the player. Digital radio is also supported
so you can pickup all the new digital radio stations when you're not watching
TV or DVD movies. For browsing and choosing your digital freeview TV programme
you can use the integrated Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) to see what's on
now or later and to change the channel.
The DVD player is subtly hidden on the side of the player just behind the screen
and features a high end slot loading mechanism so you just push your disc in
to the disc slot and the player pulls the disc in for playback.
Audio and video input also means the DA110CD can be used for your digital camera,
camcorder or games console... just plug them in to the AV input socket and use
the DA110CD as a display for them. Add our games pad to turn your player in
to a portable games solution too (games pad listed in the accessories section
below).
Integrated stereo speakers give great audio or plug in your headphones to the
headphone socket for personal listening.
Built in to the rear of the TV is a kick stand for standing the TV where ever
you are on a flat surface. Alternatively a TV style foot stand is also included.
The August DA110CD is ideal for use in the kitchen, bathroom, spare room, camping,
caravanning or in car. Included with the DA110CD is mains power supply, car
cigarette lighter socket power adapter, portable aerials, AV cable and user
manual.
